“Fighting poverty of food and character, one child at a time.”
NOMAGOM DROP-IN CENTER began its journey of serving the community in 2016, growing from a community initiative into a registered NGO officially founded in 2024.
Children do not need to be told who they are — they need to be shown who they can become. When we create safe spaces, we don’t just remove them from danger; we open doors to possibility, dignity, and purpose.
From humble beginnings, NOMAGOM started by serving 45 children with care and support.
True success is not found in what we keep for ourselves, but in what we give to others. When these children received their first meal, it was not just food — it was a sign of hope, dignity, and possibility. Every act of service is a step toward a future where no child is left behind.
At this stage one might even be curious as to what the word NOMAGOM stands for. It is an acronym for "NO MALNUTRITION, GO MALNUTRITION". Physically it is soul food( soul is supported by indigenous activities to cap misbehavior) . It reflects our commitment to ensuring that no child goes hungry.
Our mission is to combat child poverty by providing nutritious meals and fostering character development among the children we serve.
Hope is not an abstract idea — it has a face, a smile, and a story. Every time a child laughs again, every time they dream again, we are reminded why this mission matters. Hope is contagious, and it starts here.
At NOMAGOM, we believe that addressing both the physical and emotional needs of children is essential for their overall well-being and development.
When we nourish a child’s body with food, we are also nurturing their soul with love, care, and guidance. True nourishment goes beyond the plate — it is about creating an environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive in every aspect of their lives in order to be responsible citizens.
Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. At NOMAGOM, we are committed to providing educational support and resources to the children we serve.
By fostering a love for learning and providing access to quality education, we are empowering these children to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
